Hobart - der Hafen, die Stadt

Hobart ist die Hauptstadt von Tasmanien, Australien mit etwa 200.000 Einwohnern liegt sie an der Flussmündung des Derwent River. Hobart beherbergt die Universität von Tasmanien und besitzt einen Hafen. Hobart ist nach Sydney die zweitälteste Stadt Australiens und wurde 1804 als Sträflingskolonie von Lieutenant-Colonel David Collins mit ca. 300 Verurteilten, einer Anzahl von Marinesoldaten und ungefähr 30 freien Siedlern gegründet.
