Reisen ab, bis, oder mit Hamilton (Bermuda-Inseln)

Hamilton ist die Hauptstadt der Inselgruppe Bermuda und liegt somit im Atlantik. Die Stadt ist Hauptwirtschaftszentrum des Landes, was wiederum dazu führt, dass tagtäglich bis zu 14.000 Menschen aus dem Umland in die Hauptstadt fahren.

Geschichte

1793 gegründet und nach dem damaligen Governor des Landes, Sir Henry Hamilton, benannt, dauerte es bis ins Jahr 1815 bis die Stadt schließlich Hauptstadt Bermudas wurde und die alte Hauptstadt "Saint George's" ablöste.

Hamilton ist die Hauptstadt der Inselgruppe Bermuda und liegt somit im Atlantik. Die Stadt ist Hauptwirtschaftszentrum des Landes, was wiederum dazu führt, dass tagtäglich bis zu 14.000 Menschen aus dem Umland in die Hauptstadt fahren.

Geschichte

1793 gegründet und nach dem damaligen Governor des Landes, Sir Henry Hamilton, benannt, dauerte es bis ins Jahr 1815 bis die Stadt schließlich Hauptstadt Bermudas wurde und die alte Hauptstadt "Saint George's" ablöste.

Sehenswürdigkeiten

Idyllisch im Great Sound gelegen, einer runden Bucht, ist Hamilton ein wunderbarer Ort für erholsame Stunden am Strand. Die farbenfrohen Korallenriffe in dieser Bucht laden zu spannenden Schnorchelausflügen ein - die eindrucksvolle Flora und Faune wird Sie begeistern.
