Belize City - der Hafen, die Stadt

Belize befindet sich im Südosten der Halbinsel Yucatán und grenzt im Norden an Mexiko und im Westen an Guatemala. Im Osten von Belize liegt die Karibik. Die Vegetation von Belize ist tropischer Regenwald, vereinzelte Kiefernsavannen, Sumpfland und fast durchgehend eine von Mangroven bewachsene Küste. Das vor Belize liegende Riff ist nach dem Great Barrier Reef zusammen mit seinen Cayes das zweitgrößte Korallenriff der Welt.Bei Tauchern und Surfern ist die Riffküste sehr beliebt, Kulturinteressierte besuchen die Maya-Ruinen bei Orange Walk.
