Fukuoka - der Hafen, die Stadt

Fukuoka ist die größte Stadt auf der südlichsten der japanischen Hauptinseln Kyushu und die achtgrößte Stadt Japans.Der Shufuku-ji ist der älteste Tempel der Zen/Rinzai-Sekte in Japan, angeblich von Eisai 1195 gegründet, der nach der Rückkehr von China die Zen-Lehre und den Tee nach Japan brachte. Der Tempel besitzt eine Bronzeglocke in koreanischem Stil. Im Küstenbereich liegt der Nishi-Park, indem sich die Ruinen des alten Verteidigungswalles und etwa viertausend Kirschbäume befinden.
