Wenn Sie sich die Stadt im Rahmen eines Tagesausfluge näher anschauen wollen sind besonders die vielen kleinen Restaurants in der Innenstadt zu empfehlen, denn die Stadt ist besonders für die abwechslungsreichen Hummer- und Muschelgerichte bekannt.
Kombinieren lassen sich diese Gaumenfreuden am besten mit einem Bummel durch die Altstadt oder sogar mit einer Kutschenfahrt durch die historischen Plätze der Stadt oder den überdachten Markt der Stadt.
Eine weitere Besonderheit der Stadt sind die sogenannten 'Reversing Falls', ein weltweit einmaliges Naturphänomen. Auf Grund des sehr hohen Gezeitenunterschiedes bei Ebbe und Flut kehrt der Fluss nämlich zwei Mal am Tag seine Flussrichtung um.
Sehenswürdigkeiten
Das New Brunswick Museum bietet Ihnen eine Vielzahl verschiedener Kunstgegenstände dar. Im Jahr 1842 als erstes Museum Kanadas eröffnet findet man heutzutage noch einiges aus der Sammlung welche als Kuriositätensammlung begann. Da sich mitterweile mehrere tausend Exponate in der Sammlung befinden ist eine Vergrößerung des New Brunswick Museum in Saint John geplant.
