Kreuzfahrten Pigeon Island
Reisen ab, bis, oder mit Pigeon Island (St. Lucia)
Einst von Piraten genutzt, dann britischer Marinestützpunkt: Pigeon Island trägt seine Geschichte sichtbar im Gelände. Auf 17 Hektar Nationalpark-Gelände erwarten Sie die Ruinen von Fort Rodney mit originalgetreuen Kanonen, ein kleines Museum sowie zwei ruhige Sandstrände zum Schnorcheln oder Entspannen. Der Aufstieg zum Signal Hill – 108 Meter, rund 20 Minuten – belohnt mit Blick über Rodney Bay bis nach Martinique. Seit den 1970ern per Damm mit St. Lucia verbunden, lässt sich das Gelände bequem zu Fuß erkunden. Eintritt: ca. 10 USD für Erwachsene.
