Reisen ab, bis, oder mit Tracy Arm (USA)

Tracy Arm ist ein langer Fjord südlich der alaskischen Stadt Junea. Dank der relativen Nähe zu dem bekannten Sawyer-Gletscher ist der Fjord beinahe ganzjährig zu einem Fünftel von Eis bedeckt. Schon 1980 wurde Tracy Arm zusammen mit dem umliegenden Gebiet zum Naturschutzpark erklärt, um die bis dato beinahe unberührte Natur zu schützen. Trotzdem lassen sich bei einer Durchfahrt oftmals eine große Anzahl verschiedener Tiere beobachten, wie beispielsweise Adler oder Wale.

Tracy Arm - der Hafen, die Stadt

Tracy Arm ist ein langer Fjord südlich der alaskischen Stadt Junea. Dank der relativen Nähe zu dem bekannten Sawyer-Gletscher ist der Fjord beinahe ganzjährig zu einem Fünftel von Eis bedeckt. Schon 1980 wurde Tracy Arm zusammen mit dem umliegenden Gebiet zum Naturschutzpark erklärt, um die bis dato beinahe unberührte Natur zu schützen. Trotzdem lassen sich bei einer Durchfahrt oftmals eine große Anzahl verschiedener Tiere beobachten, wie beispielsweise Adler oder Wale. Das schöne bei einer Fahrt durch den Tracy Arm ist die Tatsache, dass meist am Ende eine 180 Grad Drehung vollzogen wird, und man somit auf der Rückfahrt die andere Seite des Fjordes bestaunen kann ohne seinen Lieblingsplatz auf dem Kreuzfahrtschiff verlassen zu müssen.
