Roseau

Die Hauptstadt der kleinen Insel Dominica beherbergt knapp 20.000 Einwohner und entstand aus der alten Stadt Charlotte Town. Fast am Südende der Insel gelegen ist die Hafenstadt nicht nur das geschäftliche Zentrum der Insel sondern auch beliebter Anlaufpunkt zahlreicher Kreuzfahrten.

Ausflugsmöglichkeiten

Von vielen Reedereien, beispielsweise TUI Cruises, werden verschiedenste Ausflüge angeboten. So gibt es neben abwechslungsreichen Panoramafahrten auch sportlichere Aktivitäten wie die wilde Fahrt auf Gummireifen den Fluss hinab. Auch die Seilbahnfahrt durch den Regenwald, welche vollkommen neue Perspektiven eröffnet oder die Rudertour auf dem Indian River bieten einiges an Entdeckergeist. Ein beliebtes Naturparadies ist der Emerald Pool mit anschließendem Wasserfall, welcher auch als Teil eines Naturlehrpfades erkundet werden kann. Außerdem werden beispielsweise Wanderungen zum Sari-Sari Wasserfall oder Kanutouren sowie Schnorchelexkursionen angeboten. Aber damit nicht genug; es gibt Whalewatching, Fahrten mit dem RIB-Boot, aber auch entspannte Wellnessanwendungen.

Falls Sie einfach nur mal runter von Ihrem Kreuzfahrtschiff möchten und ein wenig die Seele baumeln lassen möchten sind die weißen Karibikstrände mit den Palmen und dem Regenwald im Hintergrund genau das richtige für Sie.
