Juneau ist die einzige Hauptstadt eines Bundesstaats der USA, die keine Straßenanbindung hat und nur mit Flugzeug oder Schiff erreichbar ist.In der Nähe der Stadt gibt es Wanderwege, die zu einigen Gletschern führen. Eine Brücke verbindet die Stadt mit Douglas Island. Ansonsten gibt es noch einen Flughafen und Straßen, die in Sackgassen enden.Seit Jahrtausenden leben Auke- und Taku-Menschen in dieser Gegend.

Juneau - der Hafen, die Stadt

Juneau ist die Hauptstadt des US-Bundesstaates Alaska. 2000 hatte die Stadt eine Bevölkerungsanzahl von ca.30.711 Menschen. Juneau ist die einzige Hauptstadt eines Bundesstaats der USA, die keine Straßenanbindung hat und nur mit Flugzeug oder Schiff erreichbar ist.In der Nähe der Stadt gibt es Wanderwege, die zu einigen Gletschern führen. Eine Brücke verbindet die Stadt mit Douglas Island. Ansonsten gibt es noch einen Flughafen und Straßen, die in Sackgassen enden.Seit Jahrtausenden leben Auke- und Taku-Menschen in dieser Gegend. Sie haben weitreichende künstlerische Traditionen wie Skulpturen, Webereien, Dekorationen, Gesänge und Tanzen.
